Porsche is marking the 50th anniversary of its iconic 911 Turbo with a special tribute for fans of the brand – a limited edition sneaker collection designed in collaboration with sportswear giant Puma. The exclusive series features twelve distinct sneaker designs, with each model limited to just 911 pairs, making it a coveted item for both car enthusiasts and sneaker collectors.

Two models in the collection draw direct inspiration from legendary Porsche vehicles, blending automotive history with fashion. The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker pays homage to the Porsche 911 presented to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, reflecting the vehicle’s design elements in its metallic silver finish and tartan interior pattern. Meanwhile, the “Turbo 930” sneaker honors Dr. Ferry Porsche’s 1976 Turbo with its Oak Green Metallic color and matching green tartan lining, mirroring the car’s iconic styling.

The sneakers are crafted from premium materials, with the “Turbo No. 1” featuring full-grain leather and the “Turbo 930” using nubuck leather, ensuring both comfort and durability. Each pair is adorned with subtle but distinctive Porsche branding, including dynamic vintage turbo lettering and a 3D-printed Porsche Crest on the heel. The design also incorporates elements reminiscent of Porsche’s signature “whale fin” rear spoiler and horizontal red tail lights.

Adding to the exclusivity, Porsche and Puma are releasing ten market-specific editions of the sneakers. These versions are inspired by Porsche 911 Turbo cars from different regions, with each market edition limited to 911 pairs. Markets including Germany, France, the UK, Japan, and the U.S. will each receive a unique design featuring one of thirty original Porsche colors from the 1975 to 1977 palette.

The limited edition “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930” sneakers will be available starting August 29, 2024, at 9:11 a.m. CEST. They will be sold for €169 at shop.porsche.com and the Porsche Museum Shop in Stuttgart, Germany. Each purchase comes with an extra set of black laces and a black Porsche Puma sports bag, emphasizing the collection’s exclusivity and attention to detail.
